2014 Ohio Conference Women’s Retreat

It’s almost retreat time, ladies!

The Ohio Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Women’s Ministries department is sponsoring the upcoming Ohio Women’s Retreat at Embassy Suites Dublin on September 26-27.

Spend time learning to love and forgive as Jesus did with presentations by Buffy Halvorsen, Family Ministries Director and wife of our new conference president Ron Halvorsen Jr. Once again we have separated lodging and retreat pricing and reservations.   This allows our ladies to custom-build their retreat package according to their specific budget.

The deadline for RETREAT registration is Monday, September 8. This is for the retreat itself.    The lodging component is to be handled by our ladies individually.  We have a block of 20 rooms reserved at the Embassy Suites Dublin for $119 ight (up to four in a room). A free breakfast is included in this rate for all guests registered in the room.  This discounted rate is valid only for September 26 (please note the retreat ends at 3:00 pm on Sabbath); if ladies wish to stay another night they may do so at the regular rate.

Please make sure you use the code “SDA” when making their reservation. Discounted room rates will only be held until Friday, September 5.  Is this rate still a bit too steep?  Alternate area hotel information has been provided in the brochure – but no special rates/arrangements have been made with them.  This is merely provided as additional information for women.

We look forward to another uplifting retreat this year!

Additional promotional materials are available under Women’s Ministries (www.ohioadventist.org).

Chip Ravnic’s Wedding in Romania

The following is an email sent to Beavercreek SDA Church from our brother in Christ, Chip Ravnic. He has also provided a short video containing highlights from his wedding (bottom of post).
“Hi pastor Roy, and hello dear Beavercreek church. I was looking back at this current year and i saw better than ever what a great year this was for me. What a journey with Christ! How many blessings! This was the year when i got baptized, and the year when i got married. Among the biggest blessings was of course the Beavercreek SDA church who supported me from the very first day like i was one of them. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit in your church and i will never forget what people did for me when i was there. It maybe look not much for you, but for me it was very important and i appreciate it a lot. I just uploaded a short video on YouTube with some moments from my wedding and i want to share it with you all. I know that Helen will be glad to see me again, even if it will be only on the screen for now. Keith will probably like the tennis part of the video. Yes, indeed, we found time to play tennis in our wedding day!!! It was just for the camera of course.  Please send my thoughts to the church. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all, and God bless you! Sincerly, your brother in Christ from Romania, Chip.”
